I am grateful that I have been connected to Fresh Start for 25 years of my recovery. Over half of that time, I have been employed with Fresh Start Recovery, I have been principally committed to initiatives that contribute to developing social awareness, community development and promoting personal well-being and development. I have had many opportunities to work with marginalized individuals facing homelessness and other complex barriers. I have helped create, develop, and manage a nationally recognized social enterprise and training program. I was charged early on with reformulating the entire program model and operating structure of Fresh Start Recovery. These changes contributed significantly to increasing the organization's profile in Calgary and throughout Canada.
